Vanilla has a one-of-a-kind layout: the bedroom, the kitchen, and the bathroom each open onto the private patio, so you cross the patio to get from the bedroom to the kitchen or the bathroom. It is the heart of the house, and it is what makes you live outdoors all day. It's enclosed, for your exclusive use, and set up for pets — which is what makes this apartment work so well with dogs.
It sleeps up to four, is on the ground floor, and has its own entrance.
Fiber wifi, screened windows, a window onto the garden, and a glass door between the patio and the kitchen. Laundry service available.
We're in Playa Chiquita, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, on Costa Rica's southern Caribbean coast. The bus between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo runs along the main road, and Cocles, Punta Uva, and Manzanillo are a few minutes by car. Just steps away there are restaurants, a mini-market, bike rentals, and a shop renting motorbikes and ATVs and organizing tours. And the beach is a five-minute walk along a natural trail where monkeys and sloths are a common sight.

🐾 If you travel with a pet
- Only pets used to living in apartments are accepted.
- It must bring its own bed: it cannot get on the bed or the sofa.
- It cannot be left alone in the apartment. If you go out, take it with you.
- Any damage it causes must be reimbursed.
House rules
- The apartments are for the exclusive use of registered guests.
- No parties or events.
- Smoking inside the apartments is strictly prohibited.
- Quiet hours from 10:00 p.m.
- Any damage caused during the stay is charged to the guest.
