Estrella de Mar is one of the most private apartments: both of its windows face the private patio, so you can leave everything open and enjoy complete peace and quiet.
The patio is large, with a table, chairs, and a hammock, and it tends to be where the beach day ends.
The kitchen has a signature touch of its own: a high bar-style table with stools, where morning coffee tends to happen — a little café corner no other apartment has.
It sleeps up to three in a single open space where everything is within reach.

We're in Playa Chiquita, Puerto Viejo de Talamanca, on Costa Rica's southern Caribbean coast. The bus between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo runs along the main road, and Cocles, Punta Uva, and Manzanillo are a few minutes by car. Just steps away there are restaurants, a mini-market, bike rentals, and a shop renting motorbikes and ATVs and organizing tours. And the beach is a five-minute walk along a natural trail where monkeys and sloths are a common sight.
